Sri Lanka is an intoxicating mix of cultures that is so accessible. "A tailor made holiday to suite your needs in this magical island is on top of the wish list of many!", this island nation surrounded by the warm blue waters of the Indian Ocean has it all.
Delightful Locations
Capital City
Colombo has always been one of the most unsung capitals in south and south-east Asia, but this compact and easily-explored city is in its most optimistic mood for decades, and should no longer be dismissed lightly. Bargain seekers can still find an attractive range of clothing, handicrafts and jewellery in attractive surroundings. Its nightlife might not rival the brashness of Bangkok, but it has a sprinkling of excellent restaurants and intimate bars to while the night away.
Beach
Sri Lankan Beaches are the most picturesque in the world. Soft sound of waves lapping in to the beach, endless strip of white sandy beaches contrasting with deep blue waters, coral reefs that are home to many types of tropical fish best describe what you will find when you visit Western & southern coastlines of this beautiful country. You could socialize with the warm friendly people out there and groove to the sunny vibes emitting from this beautiful tropical culture.
Cultural triangle
Sri Lanka's famous historical sites have become the staple of many a travel programme. The Cultural Triangle houses some of its most celebrated attractions, including the lion rock of Sigiriya and the ruined cities of Anaradhapura and Polonnuruwa. It is also blessed by some of the most magnificent hotels in the country. Package tours may routinely dash through, ticking off the attractions as they go, but you may prefer to rest a while longer.
Hill Capital
Kandy's proud heritage and splendid lakeside setting has long made it a favourite haunt for Sri Lanka travellers. This bustling hill-country capital is the natural gateway to a lush central region of tea plantations, gurgling streams and stirring history. It is never busier than during the annual Perahera, a fortnight's festival in late July . This is one of the finest festivals in Asia and hotel space is limited months in advance.
Hill Country
The Sri Lankan highlands enhance the country's richly-varied landscape. Only a few hours from the coast, here is a land of rushing waterfalls, plunging ravines and tea estates clinging precariously to steep hillsides. The highlands offer excellent walking country and a natural setting for activity holidays. It is much cooler here -- which can be a welcome contrast to the heat of Colombo and the coast. Hotels are of old-style Sri Lanka.
Galle
The gateway to the south is the historic town of Galle. Do not forego the historic Fort area, which has become a haven for craft shops, museums, art galleries and which houses a select collection of wonderfully renovated hotels and villas. Accommodation choices tend to be more intimate here - luxury villas vie for attention with independent cabana-style properties
Wild Life

Most of the migratory birds can be found in the dry zone of the country in very large numbers while most of the endemics are in the wet zone.
